European Partnerships
The European partnership work of Rossdorf council actively supports the initiative EuropaRad (CycleEurope).
EuropaRad – bicycle tours between European partner communities – is an initiative within the framework of partnerships between European communities. EuropaRad is not a club, it is open to all interested residents.
EuropaRad is not a high performance sporting activity, but rather the chance to have fun and enjoyment with others within a sporting context. The tours, presentations and other activities are planned and run together – everyone can contribute, plan pre-tours and make other contributions.
The European partners are actively involved in the organizational process. Communal travel and discussions as well as the other time spent eating, sleeping and relaxing together during the typically 3 day yearly cycle tour, plus travel time, allows an optimal and intensive exchange of ideas, provides the opportunity to get to know and understand each other as well as providing the chance to make long lasting European friendships.
